Stephen J. Cullen Appointed Officer of International Bar Association
Miles & Stockbridge is pleased to announce that Stephen J. Cullen, leader of the law firm’s Family Law & Private Clients practice, has been appointed an officer of the International Bar Association (IBA), the world's leading organization of international legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies.
Cullen is serving a two-year term as an officer of the IBA’s Family Law Committee, which provides a unique forum for members from around the world to discuss developments of international significance across all aspects of family law, including marriage, divorce, inheritance, human rights, adoption and child abduction.
A principal in the Washington, D.C. office of Miles & Stockbridge, Cullen represents parents and children in state, interstate, Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA) and international family and child law cases. He and his team in the family law practice at Miles & Stockbridge have handled more cases involving international parental abductions of children under the 1980 Hague Convention treaty than any other firm in the world.
Cullen’s practice also includes divorce, financial remedies, custody, child support, alimony, adoption, second parent adoption, marital contracts, marital torts, guardianships, reputation management and defamation.
