C. Peter “Pete” Dungan, a deeply experienced government contracts lawyer, litigator and counselor in the Washington, D.C. office of Miles & Stockbridge, has been appointed to a three-year term on the Council for the American Bar Association’s Public Contract Law Section. The mission of the Section is to improve public procurement and grant law at the federal, state and local levels and promote the professional development of attorney and associate members in public procurement law. The Section’s Council approves comments made by the Section in response to proposed rulemaking for federal procurement regulations and other related regulatory actions.
Dungan also continues his work as co-chair of the Section’s Bid Protest Committee. The committee works to provide timely information on developments and a forum for discussing significant issues involving the resolution of bid protests within the federal government, including the agencies, the Government Accountability Office, and judicial forums. It also conducts ongoing studies on the efficacy of the system for resolving bid protest of federal agency procurements.
