Miles & Stockbridge Represents Common Market Co-op in Purchase of Second Frederick Location

Melia_Burgee_collage_3-14-19.jpgThe law firm Miles & Stockbridge recently represented the Common Market Co-op, a Frederick-based, community owned, organic and natural foods grocery store, in its planning and purchase of a former Safeway store on West 7th Street in Frederick, Maryland. Common Market currently has a store on Route 85 and plans to open a second store at the West 7th Street location following significant renovations. Miles & Stockbridge will represent the Co-op during this construction phase as well. The second location is expected to bring 110 jobs to the City of Frederick.

Greg Burgee and Laura Melia, lawyers in Miles & Stockbridge’s Frederick office, led the transaction.
