Former Lockheed Martin Assistant GC and VP of Contracts, Ted Ebert, Joins Miles & Stockbridge’s Growing D.C. Office
Miles & Stockbridge continues the strategic expansion of its D.C. office with the addition of well-regarded government contracts, corporate and compliance counsel Ted Ebert.
Ebert joins Miles & Stockbridge from Lockheed Martin Corporation, where he served in senior legal and executive positions. Most recently, Ebert served as assistant general counsel for Lockheed’s Technical Services business segment that provides worldwide technical services and operation assistance to United States government and commercial customers. Previously, Ebert was vice president of contracts for a multi-billion dollar Lockheed business segment where he managed a staff of 260 professionals with responsibility for government contracts, foreign military sales, international direct sales and domestic commercial sales.
Prior to Lockheed, Ebert was senior counsel with Raytheon Technical Services Co.; a partner with the law firm Crowell & Moring LLP.; and deputy associate administrator for congressional affairs and chief legislative counsel for the United States General Services Administration.
At Miles & Stockbridge, Ebert will advise clients on all aspects of government and commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, risk management, and internal investigations. He also will provide general counsel outsourcing services.
“With his long and varied experience in industry, government and law firm work, Ted has seen government contracting issues from all sides. He has worked on the most sophisticated compliance, contract, investigation and transaction matters in the marketplace,” said John A. Stalfort, Miles & Stockbridge’s managing principal in D.C. “His three decades of experience and unique skillset set him apart from virtually anyone else in the industry.”
Ebert’s arrival continues a recent infusion of significant talent into Miles & Stockbridge’s Government Contracts and White Collar Practice Groups. He joins more than 30 well-regarded lawyers, including Raymond F. Monroe and Linda S. Bruggeman, who both practiced with Ebert at Crowell & Moring, and William R. “Billy” Martin, one of the country’s top trial lawyers and a former senior federal prosecutor, who joined the firm’s D.C. office last August.
“Ted has seen and done it all,” said Monroe. “He’s an invaluable asset. Linda and I are thrilled to be working with Ted again.”
