Veronica D. Jackson represents employers in a broad range employment litigation matters, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, ADA and FMLA litigation, and wrongful discharge. Veronica also has extensive experience conducting internal investigations for clients regarding allegations of workplace harassment, discrimination, retaliation under VII and ADA, and regarding incidents related to workplace violence concerns.
Her assistance to clients also includes drafting policies, and performing employee and senior management training. Veronica also practices in the area of data privacy and security, and assists clients with both preventive efforts as well managing compliance issues in the aftermath of a cybersecurity incident.
Veronica is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). In the area of data privacy and security, Veronica counsels clients through data breach and cyber incident response efforts, including guiding clients through any necessary data breach notifications and representing clients in any subsequent regulatory and legal matters. Veronica also counsels clients regarding data security and privacy policies and provides training regarding data privacy and security best practices.
Prior to joining Miles & Stockbridge, Veronica practiced business litigation, representing clients in a broad variety of matters, including financial services litigation and privacy class actions.
While a student at Georgetown University Law Center, Veronica was a staff editor of the Georgetown Journal of Gender & the Law and a semi-finalist in the Greenhalgh Mock Trial Competition. Veronica received her B.S. in economics, summa cum laude, from Florida A&M University, where she was a Thurgood Marshall Scholar.
