Michele L. Cohen

Michele L. Cohen is a principal in the firm’s Baltimore office and the Co-Leader of the Real Estate & Transactional Finance practice group. She has a commercial real estate and business transactions practice.

In her real estate practice, Michele provides advice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, and manages a broad-based national and regional leasing practice. She has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related documentation for retail, office and industrial properties, and including both pad and in-line leases. Michele also represents clients in the acquisition, development and operation of real property in the Mid-Atlantic region. Her clients include:

  • National and regional property owners and tenants
  • Commercial developers
  • Retail companies
  • Corporate business owners
  • Financial institutions

Michele's business and technology practice is broad based and includes business and information technology counseling for both providers and users of technology. She provides contract advice and counseling on a variety of subjects, including on licensing, consulting services, e-commerce and cyber-security and privacy issues, including those specific to clients in regulated industries. Michele represents clients in the preparation and negotiation of a broad range of traditional transactional agreements. Clients include:

  • Technology provider and service consultants
  • Manufacturing and distribution companies
  • Technology users in regulated industries, including the financial and health care sectors
  • Corporate users of intellectual property.
