Melissa E. Glover represents businesses in a variety of corporate and securities matters. Melissa regularly represents Maryland entities, including real estate investment trusts and investment companies, with respect to opinion giving matters and corporate governance. She also advises boards of directors and committees of boards regarding compliance with Maryland corporate laws and fiduciary duties. Her transactional practice includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, debt and equity offerings, commercial contracting and various other corporate transactional matters. She has worked on transactions for both publicly and privately held clients, domestically and internationally, and regularly advises clients on regulatory and securities compliance. Melissa also counsels non-profit organizations and assists them with mergers and acquisitions, formation, and obtaining and maintaining tax exempt status.
Melissa is an honors graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, Order of the Coif, where she was an associate articles editor of The Business Lawyer. She is also an honors graduate of The University of Chicago with a bachelors in Economics.
Prior to attending law school, Melissa managed marketing and investor services for a hedge fund manager and worked for an investment bank that underwrites and distributes fixed income securities.
