Alisa has represented a wide range of leading national and international brand owners across numerous sectors, including in the consumer goods, pharmaceutical, technology, aerospace, heavy equipment, bioscience, cosmetics and skincare, professional sports, and entertainment industries, and has secured rights in and protected some of the world’s most famous brands.
She gained extensive experience in domestic and international commercial transactions, advertising and marketing compliance (including sweepstakes and contests), product and brand development and management, and intellectual property and information technology issues while serving in corporate legal roles for companies as diverse as a Fortune 200 consumer products conglomerate, an iconic beauty and skin care brand, and a technology services startup with operations in the U.S. and India.
As assistant general counsel at Elizabeth Arden, Inc., Alisa served as chief IP, marketing, and advertising counsel, with primary global responsibility for trademark, copyright, and patent clearance, prosecution, and enforcement; anti-counterfeiting; IP litigation; licensing; celebrity-based product licensing; marketing and advertising compliance; and data privacy and security. She also served as assistant general counsel for Products and Intellectual Property at Altria, and as general counsel at GS Advisorate.
