The George Washington University and Alumni Association to Honor Steve Frenkil
BALTIMORE, MD, April 19, 2010 – Miles & Stockbridge P.C. announced today that Steven D. Frenkil, a principal in the firm’s labor & employment practice group, will be honored with an Alumni Outstanding Service Award by The George Washington University (GW) and The George Washington Alumni Association (GWAA). The 49th Annual Alumni Outstanding Service Awards will take place on April 29, 2010.
The Alumni Outstanding Service Awards are given each year by the GWAA to honor alumni who have demonstrated outstanding volunteer contributions to the university and the broader school community.
Frenkil is the Vice President for Student-Alumni Initiatives and serves on the executive committee of the GWAA board of directors. He has a strong commitment to making personal connections with current students and encouraging them to take advantage of opportunities provided by alumni.
Frenkil represents management in employment law and education law matters. He regularly advises and defends colleges, universities, and K-12 schools in a broad array of issues, and writes and lectures on important higher education issues for the National Association of College and University Attorneys and The Chronicle of Higher Education. He earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he graduated with honors, and his B.A with distinction from GW, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
