Stephanie Kaye Baron Named Daily Record VIP
Miles & Stockbridge is pleased to announce that Stephanie Kaye Baron, a principal in the law firm’s Labor, Employment, Benefits & Immigration practice, has been named to The Daily Record’s “VIP” List (Very Important Professionals Successful by 40), which recognizes Maryland professionals 40 years of age and younger for their professional accomplishments, community service and the impact of their achievements on the community.
"This year's VIP List honorees were selected for the significant contributions they are making to their professions and to improving their communities," said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. "VIP List honorees are the ones to watch. They are the next generation of leaders across our state, and The Daily Record takes great pride in recognizing their achievements and looks forward to hearing about their even greater accomplishments in the future."
Recipients were selected by a panel of outside judges, including previous winners and business leaders. Baron will be honored at a reception on August 25 at the Pier 5 Hotel and profiled in a special magazine to be inserted in the August 26 issue of The Daily Record and available online.
About Stephanie Baron
Stephanie Baron is a trusted advisor to employers, locally and nationally, on the full scope of employment law matters. Not one to shy away from a challenge, she has taken on the most demanding and urgent litigation matters in employment law—non-competition litigation. She also is a “go to” lawyer on the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Baron and her husband recently founded a non-profit called the Clever Kids Foundation, dedicated to empowering elementary-aged children to share their creativity and promote the exploration of innovative ideas. She recently joined the board of Pearlstone Center, an agency of The Associated Jewish Federation of Baltimore, after completing her two-year board service for the Edward A. Myerberg Center. In addition, for the last two years she has co-chaired the Lawyers’ Campaign for the CollegeBound Foundation and served on its executive committee since 2012.
She chairs the Miles & Stockbridge Women’s Network and a new affinity group of Jewish attorneys and colleagues called The Tribe@Miles, which she helped found. She also serves on the firm’s diversity committee and has been a member of the recruiting committee for several years.
