Frisch joins an impressive group of 51 honorees, who were selected by the newspaper’s editors for making an impact and igniting leadership, change and business growth in Maryland through influence and hard work. The honorees were selected for their significant contributions to their respective fields and for their leadership in the following areas: civic leadership, communications, education, finance, freestyle, general business, health care, law, philanthropy, real estate and technology.  Elected officials were not eligible for this award.

"This year's Influential Marylanders are at the pinnacle of their chosen professions. They’re actively engaged in the community, and they mentor other leaders as well," said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. "They work hard to spark innovation and progress and meet a variety of challenges in Maryland and beyond. They are, quite simply, inspirational."

The awards will be presented March 17 at a reception and dinner at The Grand Lodge of Maryland in Cockeysville. Winners will be profiled in a special magazine that will be inserted into the March 18 issue of The Daily Record and available online at www.TheDailyRecord.com.

Frisch joined Miles & Stockbridge in 1983 and has served as the law firm’s chairman and chief executive officer since 2003. He is chairman of Visit Baltimore, a director of the Downtown Partnership for which he previously served as chairman, and a director of the Greater Baltimore Committee. A graduate of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, Frisch serves on its Board of Visitors and the steering committee for the law school’s Leadership, Ethics and Democracy Building Project. Frisch also is a past director of the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore, B&O Railroad Museum, and Well for the Journey. He is a graduate of the Greater Baltimore Committee’s Leadership Program and Leadership Maryland.
