Type: Press Release

Hamrick_Cameron_E.jpgMiles & Stockbridge continues its strategic expansion in Washington, D.C. with the addition of Cameron Hamrick, a highly-regarded government contracts lawyer, litigator and counselor with three decades of experience. Hamrick joins from Mayer Brown as a principal in Miles & Stockbridge’s growing Government Contracts practice.

Hamrick has led or been involved in numerous bid protests during his career. He will continue to represent clients in these matters, as well as in audits, contract disputes, False Claims Act litigation, and civil and criminal fraud investigations. He also will continue to counsel clients on their ever-changing cyber security and cost accounting compliance requirements— areas in which he has considerable experience.

“Cameron is an outstanding, full-capability government contracts lawyer and a tremendous addition to our firm,” said John A. Stalfort, Miles & Stockbridge’s managing principal in D.C. “Having represented the highest caliber of government contractors throughout his career, he will be an incredible resource for clients looking to secure, challenge and retain business with the government. In addition, his deep experience in defense, construction, health care, technology and energy is very well matched to our clients.”

Hamrick co-chairs the Accounting, Cost and Pricing Committee of the American Bar Association’s Public Contract Law Section. Under Hamrick’s leadership, and that of his fellow co-chairs, the committee monitors and comments on issues and developments in the legislative, regulatory, and disputes areas related to Cost Accounting Standards, cost allocation and allowability, Truth in Negotiations (defective pricing and exemptions from cost or pricing data requirements), and contract pricing generally.

He earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Duke University.

Lateral Hires

Hamrick’s arrival continues the infusion of significant talent into Miles & Stockbridge’s Government Contracts practice. He joins more than 30 well-regarded lawyers, including C. Peter “Pete” Dungan with two decades of national security and procurement law experience; Ted Ebert, former Lockheed Martin Assistant General Counsel and Vice President of Contracts; Raymond F. Monroe and Linda S. Bruggeman, who, with Ebert, practiced with Hamrick at Crowell & Moring; and Dean S. Nordlinger, who represents government contractors and others in all phases of their business life cycle—from start-up to sale of the company.

“I am thrilled Miles & Stockbridge continues to recruit senior-level, world-class lawyers like Cameron,” said Raymond F. Monroe, a principal in the firm’s Government Contracts practice in D.C. and co-leader of the firm’s Corporate, Securities & Tax practice. “We are a mid-sized firm with deep D.C. talent that is innovating how government contracts legal services are provided and how law firms operate. Cameron joining Miles & Stockbridge is terrific for our clients, our colleagues and our firm.”
