Stacy Manley is a real estate lawyer who represents clients involved in all aspects of real estate from acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate; real estate finance; and office, retail and warehouse leasing. She advises on all aspects of real estate purchases, sales and leasing, from letters of intent through closing and post-closing, for properties across the United States.
Stacy has experience with all types of property, including retail centers, office buildings and office parks, industrial properties, and multi-family properties. She has closed complex financing and refinancing transactions, including a hotel refinance with a CMBS construction loan, refinances of several shopping centers with local lenders and life insurance companies and defeasances for sales of real estate. Stacy has also recently closed on a sale-leaseback for a franchisee of a national restaurant chain and assisted in the sale of a number of shopping centers and office buildings in the Mid-Atlantic region.
With substantial experience in representing both landlords and tenants in leasing agreements, Stacy understands the perspectives of all parties involved. She takes a practical and collaborative approach to resolving complex negotiations and winning favorable terms for her clients. She has reviewed, structured and negotiated leases for national retail tenants, shopping centers, medical practices, office parks and commercial warehouses. Her leasing work has included ground leases and built-to-suit leases.
Stacy previously served as associate general counsel for a leading developer and manager of continuing care retirement communities. She began her legal career as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Kathleen G. Cox, Circuit Court for Baltimore County.
