Adam M. Treiber

Adam M. Treiber is a patent attorney whose practice focuses on patent prosecution, patent litigation, and client counseling for domestic and foreign business in the electrical, telecommunications, computer systems and software, electro-mechanical, and mechanical fields.  He advises clients regarding the protection of their intellectual property, including the preparation of patentability, infringement and validity opinions, and due diligence studies.

Adam received his J.D., with Honors, from The George Washington University School of Law.  Adam also received a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE), focusing on networks and communications, from The George Washington University, a Master of Mechanical Engineering (MME), focusing on acoustics and signal processing, from the Catholic University of America, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of Maryland.

Adam worked for many years as a systems and software engineer in the aerospace and defense industries before becoming a patent lawyer.

Adam is also a Major in the Judge Advocate Corps of the Maryland Defense Force (MDDF), which is a volunteer uniformed state military agency and one of the four components of the Maryland Military Department. Formally established by the Maryland legislature in 1917, the unit's heritage and traditions trace back to the 17th century. When not activated for emergency state service, Judge Advocates serve each of the 23 counties in Maryland to provide legal assistance, as requested, to Maryland Army and Air National Guard units throughout the state.

Adam and his family live in Frederick, Maryland.
