Mentoring
Miles & Stockbridge considers associate mentoring and professional development a high priority.
We team associates with experienced lawyers on appropriate matters to provide our newer lawyers an opportunity to observe different approaches to solving clients' problems. Miles & Stockbridge has defined how our lawyers should be progressing in each year of their professional development. We also created practice-specific competencies and benchmarks aligned with a formal mentor program to help foster our lawyers’ careers. Our firm provides informal feedback and training on a project-by-project basis and has a formal, annual face-to-face evaluation meeting with each associate. All feedback is designed to help our lawyers improve their skills and to promote their professional development.
